Press Release dated 3/22/05 On 03-19-05 at approximately 7:55 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Main Street for a report that an armed robbery had just occurred. The clerk stated that a male subject came into the store and pointed a handgun at the clerk and asked for money. The suspect left the store with and undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as male 6” 180-190 # Medium Build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. On 03-20-05 approximately, 10:10 PM Officers responded to the 1700 block of W 9th Avenue for a report of an armed robbery. The clerk stated that a male subject came in, pointed a handgun and asked for money. The subject left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as a white male 5’8” short brown hair early 20”s left in a vehicle dark purple in color. The Oshkosh Police Department is looking for Ryan C. Carder, male/white, 5’10”, 160 #, short brown hair and blue eyes in connection with the robberies. The suspect may be driving a ‘92-’93 dark purple 4 door Ford Taurus, which is stolen; with Wisconsin plate of 591 HGC. Ryan should be considered armed and dangerous. There is an active body only warrant for him. The Oshkosh Police Detectives are continuing to investigate both robberies.
