Why Do We Need Crime
Stoppers?
How Does It Work?
The responsibility for establishing policy, raising funds and for controlling
the amount of reward payments rests with a Board of Directors made up of
involved citizens.
Who Administers The Program?
The CRIME STOPPERS Board of Directors is
comprised of concerned citizens from Winnebago County who oversee the operation
of the program.
We are always looking for interested
individuals to join the board. If you have an interest, call Sgt. Steve Sagmeister at the Oshkosh Police Department, at 236-5742. Sgt. Sagmeister will
have a Board member contact you. Crime Stoppers Nationwide
There are over 600 CRIME STOPPERS programs nationwide. Over 77,000
defendants have been convicted as a result of CRIME STOPPERS tips.
